The first 3 reel slot machine was invented in San Francisco in 1898 by an enterprising American
named Charles August Fey. The machine was called Liberty Bell and had symbols of Bells, horseshoes, diamonds, spades, and hearts on its reels.
Charles Fey manufactured and rented out his slot machines to gaming palaces for 50% of the profits.
Slots were made illegal in San Francisco in 1902 and the ban soon applied to the whole of California and Nevada.
This didn’t stop the inventor from continuing to manufacture his slot machines.
During the 1930's slot machines began to proliferate across the US and in the late 40's the infamous Bugsy Siegel added machines to his Flamingo Hilton hotel in Las Vegas.
In the mid 1980's the popularity of slot machines and table games wasn't very high,
